“Jim was brought up on a heavy land cereal farm on the Suffolk/Essex border and then went on to study at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester. He started in the potato trade in 1994 working on a mixed farm in East Suffolk. After 10 years there he started at 3 Musketeers Ltd in 2003. 3 Ms is a group of family owned, neighbouring, collaborating farms based in East Suffolk growing approximately 1,600Ha of potatoes as well as 450Ha of onions, 300Ha of carrots as well as some cereals and sugarbeet. Ware potatoes are grown mainly for the UK packing industry with some destined for export. Seed potatoes are grown for internal use.
