Charlie started his potato career as an 18-year-old stacking 25kg bags onto pallets for a Wholesale Packer in Leicester. Following 3 years at Newcastle University, Charlie joined a storage and grading business in Lincolnshire before moving to their farming operation in Suffolk.
In 2017 Charlie joined East Suffolk Produce, a grower group, to look after all things seed.
Away from work Charlie plays cricket and hockey and enjoys watching Leicester Tigers.
The bulk of the tonnage of seed potatoes traded in Great Britain for both the home and export markets is handled by the 120 members of the new Association. This gives the Association greater negotiating power on behalf of its members.
