BPTA History

The British Potato Trade Association (BPTA) was created from the merger of the National Association of Seed Potato Merchants (NASPM) and the Scottish Potato Trade Association (SPTA) in July 2006. This union has resulted in an Association with the widest UK potato industry representation possible.

The Scottish Potato Trade Association

On 1st October, 1970 the Edinburgh and East of Scotland Potato Trade Association, the Glasgow and West of Scotland Potato Trade Association and the Perth, Fife and Forfar Potato Trade Association amalgamated to form one Association known as The Scottish Potato Trade Association.
