The Council of the British Potato Trade Association has adopted new ‘Terms and Conditions for the Purchase and Sale of Seed Potatoes’ to replace the ‘BPTA Terms and Conditions of Purchase for Seed Potatoes’ and the ‘BPTA Terms and Conditions of Sale for Seed Potatoes’, which were in use from 2007. The new Terms and Conditions, produced in conjunction with the NFU, better reflect the current trading environment for seed potatoes and should be used from 1st May 2012.
The Council of the British Potato Trade Association has also adopted new ‘Rules of Arbitration’ to replace the current ‘Arbitration Rules of The British Potato Trade Association’ which were in use from 2007. The new ‘Rules of Arbitration’ will apply to arbitrations commenced after 31st December 2012.
